Sticky Bourbon Chicken Skewers

Tender and juicy chicken marinated in a sweet and savory bourbon glaze, grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and bourbon. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Marinate the chicken: Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, coating thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Skewering: Assemble the skewers by sliding the marinated chicken onto them, leaving space for even cooking.
  4. Preheat the grill: Fire up your grill to medium-high heat, waiting until it is hot.
  5. Grill the skewers: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Glaze them up: Brush leftover marinade on the chicken during the last 2 minutes of cooking for a sticky finish.
  7. Serve and savor: Remove from grill, let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot.

Notes
