Smoked Party Ribs

Delicious smoked ribs perfect for any gathering, featuring a savory glaze and a hint of sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Racks of Ribs
  • 1 Cup Favorite BBQ Rub
  • ¼ Cup Yellow Mustard
  • 2 oz Pendleton Whisky
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2.5 Tbsp Favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Hot Sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ribs: Remove the membrane from the ribs. Rub them with mustard to help the spice rub stick.
  2. Apply the BBQ Rub: Season the ribs with BBQ rub generously and marinate in the fridge.
  3. Preheat Your Smoker: Get your smoker ready at 225°F (107°C).
  4. Smoke the Ribs: Place ribs on the smoker grate and smoke for 2.5–3 hours.
  5. Make the Glaze: Combine butter, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup, hot sauce, and whisky over medium-low heat.
  6. Wrap in Foil: After 2.5 hours, wrap ribs in foil and return to smoker for 1 hour.
  7. Add the Glaze: Brush glaze over the ribs, wrap in foil, and cook for another 30 minutes.
  8. Finish Smoking: Unwrap and apply another layer of glaze, cooking uncovered for 30 minutes.
  9. Rest and Slice: Let the ribs rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, allow ribs to marinate overnight. If using oven, maintain moisture with a water pan.
