Sizzling Sausage and Cabbage Stir Fry

A comforting and easy one-pan stir fry combining savory sausage, crisp cabbage, and fragrant garlic, perfect for any evening meal.

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (or your choice)
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, carrots, bell peppers, or other vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the sliced sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onions are translucent.
  5. Incorporate the chopped cabbage, seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; sauté until tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  7. Finish cooking for a couple more minutes, then remove from heat.

Notes

Add a splash of lemon juice before serving for extra brightness. Customize with your favorite vegetables.
