Samoa Pie

A delightful pie combining the flavors of chocolate, caramel, and coconut, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Add the softened butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix until the texture resembles fine crumbs.
  5. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then set aside to cool.
  7. Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the cooled crust.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded coconut evenly over the caramel layer.
  9. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  10. Pour the melted chocolate over the coconut layer, spreading it to cover the pie evenly.
  11. Refrigerate the pie for at least 120 minutes or until set.
  12. Slice the pie into pieces using a sharp knife.

Notes

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
