Refreshing Peach Lemonade

A refreshing peach lemonade perfect for summer gatherings, combining juicy peaches and fresh lemon for a delightful drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 ripe large peaches (about 3 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for peach puree)
  • 1/2 cup water (for peach puree)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for peach puree)
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 810 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 46 cups cold water (for dilution)
  • Fresh peach slices (for garnish)
  • Lemon wheels or wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Start by washing your ripe peaches thoroughly. Slice them into manageable chunks, removing the pits. Toss them into a blender along with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Blend until the peach mixture is completely smooth.
  2. Strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a mixing bowl. Use a spatula to press out as much liquid as you can.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Bring it to a gentle simmer for about 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and your simple syrup. Taste as you go!
  5. Pour in 4-6 cups of cold water, adjusting to how concentrated you like your lemonade. Stir well to combine everything.
  6. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or until it’s chilled.
  7. Fill your glasses with ice cubes, then pour the peach lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint sprigs.
