Oven Roasted Asparagus

A delightful side dish of oven roasted asparagus that is crisp, caramelized, and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the asparagus under cool water and pat dry.
  3. Snap or trim the woody ends of the asparagus.
  4. Toss the asparagus with olive oil in a large bowl.
  5. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the asparagus.
  6. Spread the asparagus in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes.
  8. Add grated Parmesan cheese over the top (if desired) and bake for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a unique twist, consider using walnut or avocado oil, and top with lemon zest or balsamic glaze.
