Heavenly Oreo Lemon Dessert

A delightful dessert combining crunchy Oreos with refreshing lemon for a sweet and zesty treat.

  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the crushed cookies and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Press the crust mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake the crust for 10 minutes and then let cool.
  6. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  7. Add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.
  8. Fold in the whipped topping, lemon juice, and lemon zest gently with a spatula.
  9. Pour the creamy filling over the cooled Oreo crust.
  10. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  11. Cut the dessert into squares and serve.
  12. Garnish with additional lemon zest or crushed Oreos if desired.
