Key Lime Pie Mason Jar Desserts

  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup bottled lime juice
  • Zest of 12 limes (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 3.5 full sheets)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Graham Cracker Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  2. Layer the Crust: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of each mason jar and press it down gently with your fingers or the back of a spoon.
  3. Make the Key Lime Filling: In a mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar as you blend. Slowly incorporate the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  4. Whip the Heavy Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture in batches.
  5. Fill Your Jars: Using a spoon or piping bag, layer the key lime filling over the graham cracker crust in your mason jars.
  6. Chill: Once filled, cover the jars with their lids and pop them in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Garnish each jar with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of lime zest before serving.
