Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert Tacos

Delightful dessert tacos filled with creamy cheesecake and topped with a sweet strawberry mixture, perfect for gatherings or a special treat.

  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for the strawberry mixture)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush melted butter on both sides of tortillas and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Bake tortillas in the oven for about 10 minutes until lightly golden and crisp, shaping them as needed.
  3. Combine chopped strawberries with ¼ cup granulated sugar and lemon juice in a pot over medium heat, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until bubbly, then remove from heat to cool.
  5. Beat softened cream cheese in a bowl, gradually adding powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Whip the heavy cream separately until soft peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Assemble the tacos by spooning the cheesecake filling into crispy shells and topping with the strawberry mixture.
  8. Serve immediately, optionally drizzled with chocolate sauce or topped with whipped cream.
