Spicy Roasted Pepitas

A simple and flavorful recipe for crunchy spicy roasted pepitas, perfect for snacking or adding to various dishes.

  • 1 cup pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp coarsely ground sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp chipotle powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the pepitas and toss lightly.
  3. Drizzle the avocado oil and sprinkle the salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chipotle powder over the pepitas. Mix well.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the pepitas in an even layer.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for about 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Once golden and fragrant, cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These pepitas can be used as a snack, topping for salads, or added to grain bowls. Adjust spices to your preference.
