Fresh Cucumber Caprese Salad

A simple and refreshing salad featuring crisp cucumbers, sweet cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 English Cucumber
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Pearls (Bocconcini)
  • 1/4 Red Onion
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Extra Virgin)
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Glaze
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Red Chili Flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by washing all the veggies.
  2. Slice the cucumber into rounds or half-moons.
  3. Halve the cherry tomatoes for enhanced flavor.
  4. Chop the red onion thinly.
  5. Tear the fresh basil into pieces to release essential oils.
  6. Combine cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, red onion, and basil in a bowl.
  7. Dress the salad with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  8. Season with salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes.
  9. Let the salad sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served fresh, but ingredients can be prepared ahead of time. Combine dressing just before serving.
