Braised Kohlrabi Greens

A delightful and comforting dish featuring braised kohlrabi greens, infused with garlic and finished with a splash of lemon juice.

Ingredients

  • Kohlrabi Greens
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 34 cloves Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth or Water
  • Juice of half a Lemon

Instructions

  1. Prep the greens by rinsing and chopping them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the kohlrabi greens to the skillet and stir to coat with garlic oil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then add vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and braise for 10-15 minutes until greens are tender.
  7. Finish with lemon juice before serving.
  8. Serve warm, optionally drizzling with olive oil or garnishing with lemon zest.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add sautéed sausage. You can replace broth with coconut milk for a curry flavor.
