Easy Banana Split Dump Cake

A delightful twist on the classic banana split in the form of a simple dump cake that brings back childhood memories.

  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Layer the sliced bananas evenly across the bottom of the baking dish, followed by the drained pineapple chunks and the sliced strawberries.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter all over the cake mix, ensuring it covers the dry mix evenly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake has set.
  7. Cool for about 10-15 minutes, then spoon generous dollops of whipped cream on top.
  8. Drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider using different fruits or adding nutty flavors with walnuts or pecans. It can be prepared in advance by layering fruits and cake mix the night before.
