Sweet and Sunny Mango Strawberry Sorbet

A refreshing Mango Strawberry Sorbet that perfectly captures the essence of summer with its vibrant colors and satisfying fruitiness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional, for added brightness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits: Start by peeling the mangoes and cutting the flesh away from the pit. Dice them into small chunks for easy blending. For the strawberries, hull them, and then slice them into halves or quarters for a smoother blend.
  2. Blend it up: Place the diced mangoes and sliced strawberries in a blender or food processor. Add the sugar and water to the mix. If you’re using lime juice, add that too!
  3. Blend to perfection: Blend on high speed until you achieve a smooth, silky mixture. Keep scraping down the sides of the blender to make sure everything gets mixed perfectly.
  4. Taste test: Give that mixture a little taste. If it’s not sweet enough, add a bit more sugar and blend again.
  5. Chill out: Pour the sorbet mixture into a shallow dish or an airtight container. Place it in the freezer for about 240-300 minutes, or until it’s firm enough to scoop.
  6. Scoop and serve: When ready to enjoy, take it out of the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for about a week.
