Bourbon Fig Sour Cocktail

A cozy cocktail blending rich bourbon, sweet figs, and tart lemon juice for a delightful evening sip.

  • 2 fresh figs, cut in half
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 1/2 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 12 dashes of bitters

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by gathering everything at arm’s reach.
  2. Muddle the figs and honey in a shaker until well combined.
  3. Add the bourbon and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Introduce the egg white to the mixture.
  5. Dry shake without ice for about 15-20 seconds.
  6. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds.
  7. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass using a fine mesh strainer.
  8. Garnish with a fresh fig half or a lemon twist before serving.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic option, substitute bourbon with ginger ale and apple cider vinegar.
