Apple Cider Donut Bread

A warm and cozy bread that combines the flavors of apple cider and spices, reminiscent of fall treats.

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Pan: Grease a standard loaf pan (9×5 inches) with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Combine the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and apple cider until well blended.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently.
  6. Pour into the Pan: Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake: Bake for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Coat: Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then roll in cinnamon and sugar.
  9. Slice and Serve: Slice and enjoy with butter or maple syrup.

Notes

Store leftover bread wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
