  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the cucumbers: Wash them thoroughly and slice thinly.
  2. Sprinkle with salt: Place in a colander and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the onion: Finely slice the red onion.
  4. Make the dressing: Combine vinegar, sour cream, and sugar in a bowl and whisk.
  5. Combine it all: Rinse the cucumbers, pat dry, and mix with onions and dressing.
  6. Add dill: Chop and mix in if using.
  7. Taste and adjust: Modify seasoning to your preference.
  8. Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
