Air Fryer Kohlrabi Fries

Crispy and delicious kohlrabi fries made in an air fryer, offering a lighter alternative to traditional potato fries.

  • 2 lbs. 4 ounces kohlrabi, peeled and cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kohlrabi by cutting off the tops, peeling the skin, and slicing it into strips.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  3. Coat the kohlrabi strips with olive oil in a mixing bowl.
  4. Season the kohlrabi with salt, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and black pepper.
  5. Place the kohlrabi strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Cool and serve the fries once they’re golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For a twist, try adding Parmesan cheese and truffle oil after cooking for a luxurious variation.
