Vampire Hot Chocolate

A spooktacular twist on classic hot chocolate, perfect for Halloween parties with rich white chocolate, creamy milk, and blood-red whipped cream.

  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped into tiny pieces
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)
  • 1 tablespoon Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar (for whipped cream)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (for whipped cream)
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup (for sugar blood)
  • 1/2 cup water (for sugar blood)
  • 1 cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar (for sugar blood)
  • Red gel food coloring (for sugar blood)

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and cream in a medium saucepan over low heat until warm.
  2. Add the chopped white chocolate and stir until fully melted.
  3. Flavor it up by adding the vanilla extract and stirring well.
  4. Whip the heavy whipping cream in a separate bowl until it thickens, then add the sugar and vanilla.
  5. Create the sugar blood by boiling the corn syrup, water, and sugar in a saucepan until dissolved, then adding food coloring.
  6. Assemble by pouring the hot chocolate into mugs, topping with whipped cream, and drizzling with sugar blood.
