Creamy Crack Chicken Pasta

A cozy, creamy pasta dish featuring tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a rich ranch sauce that’s better than takeout.

  • 8 oz Penne Pasta
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 pkg Ranch Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 6 oz Bacon
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta by bringing a pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add in the penne pasta and cook until al dente, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Cook the Chicken in a large skillet over medium heat. Season lightly with salt and pepper, cooking for about 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and let rest before shredding.
  3. Sizzle the Bacon in the same skillet until crispy, retaining the bacon grease.
  4. Make the Sauce by adding chicken broth to the skillet and simmering. Lower heat, add cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and garlic powder, stirring until combined.
  5. Combine Ingredients by tossing shredded chicken, cooked pasta, and half of the bacon into the sauce, stirring well. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Cheesy Goodness by stirring in cheddar cheese until melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve by topping with remaining bacon and fresh parsley before plating.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute cream cheese with Neufchâtel or Greek yogurt. Feel free to make it vegetarian by swapping chicken for roasted vegetables.
