Cherry Sorbet

A refreshing cherry sorbet that captures the essence of summer with just four simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare your cherries: pit them and freeze if using fresh cherries.
  2. Make the simple syrup by combining water and sugar in a saucepan, boiling until dissolved, then letting it cool.
  3. Blend the cherries with lemon juice and cooled syrup until smooth.
  4. Chill the mixture in a shallow baking dish and freeze for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop and serve into bowls, optionally garnishing with fresh cherries or mint.

Notes

For a fizzy twist, use sparkling water in the syrup. Stir every 30 minutes while freezing for a creamier texture.
