Cherry Sorbet

A refreshing Cherry Sorbet, perfect for hot summer days, made with just four simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare your cherries: Pit them if using fresh. Freeze for about an hour if using fresh.
  2. Make the simple syrup: Combine water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil stirring until dissolved, then cool.
  3. Blend the cherries: In a blender, add cherries and lemon juice, pour in cooled syrup, and blend until smooth.
  4. Chill it: Pour mixture into a shallow dish, cover, and freeze for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop and serve: Let sit for 5 minutes before scooping into bowls, garnish if desired.

Notes

For a different flavor, try using lime juice instead of lemon or add cocoa powder for a chocolate twist.
