Bowtie Pasta & Meatball Skewers

A fun, interactive dinner featuring delicious bowtie pasta and perfectly seasoned meatballs skewered together.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bowtie Pasta
  • 1 lb Ground Meat
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Fresh Herbs (basil or parsley)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • To taste Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • To taste Basil Leaves
  • To taste Cherry Tomatoes (halved)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatballs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, minced garlic, chopped onion, fresh herbs, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Use your clean hands to mix gently.
  2. Shape the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about an inch in diameter.
  3. Cook the Meatballs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted water, cook the bowtie pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Stir occasionally.
  5. Assemble the Skewers: On each skewer, alternate threading meatballs and bowtie pasta. Add cherry tomato halves if desired.
  6. Serve with Marinara: Warm the marinara sauce and drizzle over the skewers or serve as a dipping option.
