Cherry Pie Bubble Up Dessert

A delightful and simple dessert combining fluffy biscuits with luscious cherry filling and a hint of spice, reminiscent of childhood memories.

  • 1 package Refrigerated Pillsbury Grands Biscuits (16.3 ounces)
  • 1 can Cherry Pie Filling (21 ounces)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. almond extract (divided)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open your refrigerated biscuit dough and separate each biscuit.
  3. Tear each biscuit into quarters and place them in a large bowl.
  4. Add the cherry pie filling and gently fold the mixture together.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon and half of the almond extract into the mixture and fold gently.
  6. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Combine powdered sugar, milk, and remaining almond extract to make the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the dessert once out of the oven.

Notes

Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Variations include using different fruits or adding chocolate chips.
