BBQ Meatballs

Succulent meatballs dripping with tangy barbecue sauce, perfect for family dinners, game nights, or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for glazing)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Finely chop your yellow onion.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and an egg. Mix until well combined.
  4. Grab a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the meatballs with space between each.
  6. Pop the trays into the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
  7. After baking, brush more BBQ sauce over the tops and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with extra BBQ sauce, on creamy mashed potatoes, or as sliders on mini buns.
