The Perfect Apricot Tart

A delightful apricot tart with a flaky puff pastry filled with sweet, sun-kissed apricots, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 45 ripe apricots
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry by thawing and rolling it to a circle about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Cut the apricots in half, remove the pits, and slice them thinly.
  4. Arrange the apricot slices in the center of the puff pastry, leaving space for folding the edges.
  5. Add sugar over the apricots and dot with small pieces of butter.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the apricots.
  7. Brush the edges with an egg wash if desired.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This tart is versatile and can be adjusted to personal taste.
